A change in appetite doesn't always change your relationship with food. You may be taking a GLP-1 medication and noticing physical changes while still experiencing stress-related eating, body image concerns, or longstanding beliefs about yourself.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (NY-103015) providing online psychotherapy to adults in New York who want to explore the psychological and behavioral aspects of these experiences. My services also support adults preparing for or adjusting to bariatric surgery, as well as those who aren't pursuing medical weight-loss treatment.

When Physical Changes and Emotional Experiences Don't Align

Physical changes can affect confidence, relationships, expectations, and how you see yourself. Sometimes the emotional adjustment is different from what you anticipated.

My approach helps you examine patterns of thinking and behavior, understand emotional triggers, and develop strategies that fit your circumstances.

The goal is meaningful psychological and behavioral progress, not achieving a particular weight.

A Focused Approach to Psychotherapy

The Weight & Mind Behavioral Intensive provides three hours of focused psychotherapy, followed by a personalized written report, workbook materials, and two included 30-minute follow-up appointments.

The package costs $1,800. Before scheduling, I review inquiries to determine whether this format is appropriate for the concerns being presented.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I attend a session while traveling outside New York?

Your physical location during a telehealth appointment matters. Please let me know where you'll be located so I can determine whether I am authorized to provide services there.

Can you collaborate with my prescriber or dietitian?

Yes. When clinically appropriate, I can coordinate with other members of your healthcare team with your authorization.
