Online Therapy Throughout Connecticut
Online Therapy for Emotional Eating and Body Image in Connecticut
Food can serve purposes beyond satisfying hunger. Stress, boredom, loneliness, and other emotional experiences can influence when, why, and how you eat.
You may already understand some of your eating patterns but find that changing them is more complicated than simply knowing what to do.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CT-13638) providing online psychotherapy to adults in Connecticut who want to address emotional eating, body image concerns, and behavioral patterns. I also support adults navigating GLP-1 medications and bariatric surgery.
Understanding Emotional Eating
Emotional eating often develops as a way of responding to uncomfortable feelings or circumstances. Understanding what a behavior does for you can be an important part of changing your relationship with it.
My approach focuses on identifying emotional triggers, examining coping patterns, and developing alternative ways of responding to stress and difficult emotions.
The work is grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy and a weight-neutral perspective, without judgment or rigid food rules.
A Different Format for Focused Work
Rather than spreading the initial work across several brief appointments, the Behavioral Intensive provides three hours of dedicated psychotherapy.
The $1,800 package includes a personalized written report, workbook materials, and two 30-minute follow-up appointments to revisit your progress and address challenges.
